“Bob Bowman has entertained diners at McKays nearly every week since April 2009.  He is a great player with a tasteful and eclectic repertoire from Celtic to Jazz that appeals to everyone.  McKays is an historic building with two bars and five dining rooms on two floors.  Our customers love live music, but it is a difficult venue for performers and many acts are simply too loud for our small spaces.  Bob performs in various areas in the restaurant depending on the situation, including out in the garden in the summer, and his music is piped throughout the restaurant at a volume that doesn’t interfere with conversation.  Customers often comment that it’s the perfect accompaniment to dinner.  We get many compliments every night and the staff looks forward to it too.  Booking Bob consistently on weeknights has boosted business.”
